Destination: Aegadian Island
The Aegadian Islands are located in the western part of Sicily and are formed by three main islands, different islets and rocks. The three main islands are Marettimo, Favignana and Levanzo, that are three small paradises with blue sea, pristine beaches and a mild climate every day of the year. Favignana is famous for the ancient tradition of fishing, like Tonnara Florio. The Aegadian Islands are located in front of the coast of Trapani and Marsala, which are the two main ports with which the Isles are connected.
The ports of the Aegadian Islands, Marettimo, Levanzo and Favignana, are connected with Trapani thanks to ferries to Sicily, which ensure the frequency of the races several times a day at all times of the year. The rides are more frequent in the summer time and the crossing lasts less than 1 hour. The ferries from Trapani to Marettimo, Favignana and Levanzo are served by Liberty Lines (ex Ustica Lines) and Siremar, the two main shipping companies. Thanks to the presence of 3 ports, reaching the Aegadian Islands is quite simple, although during the summer days you waiting a little more than usual and there is crowds of holidaymakers.
