How to get to Aeolian Islands from Catania and from Messina

They are called the Seven Sisters. They represent one of the most precious natural treasures that the sea of Sicily can offer its visitors. We are talking about Aeolian Islands. And you want to know how to get there from Messina and from Catania.
One of the most beaituful places to see in the province of Messina is Milazzo. Not only for its sea and for its history. Looking towards the sea, you will see seven sisters that rise from the sea. To get there, you just have to reach the port of Milazzo and book a ferry trip.
To get from Messina to Milazzo, take the A20 motorway and follow the road signs to Milazzo-Isole Eolie. The journey by car takes about half an hour.
According to many, Catania is the best starting point to visit Sicilian east coast. But your cavation to Sicily will not be complete if you will not visit Aeolian Islands. The advice we give you is to reach Milazzo and, from its port, to book a ferry trip.
To get from Catania to Milazzo:
- take A18 motorway towards Messina
- from Messina, take A20 motorway towards Palermo and take Milazzo-Isole Eolie exit
The journey by car takes about an hour and a half.

The Seven Sisters: each of them is suitable for a different kind of holiday. Is it better to see one, or is it better to make a tour? It just depends on the type of vacation that you would like to live.
