Capo d’Orlando blues: July in Sicily resounds with good music

Capo d’Orlando is about an hour and a quarter drive to Messina, just take the E90 and follow the signs. About an hour and a quarter drive and, from 22 to 30 July, you can satisfy your desire for music by participating in the 2018 edition of Capo d’Orlando blues.

The complete program of the Capo d’Orlando blues has not yet been drafted or communicated. But there is to bet that there will be all the ingredients that made it an unmissable event for fans of the genre: national and international artists, young talents and, of course, a lot of good music.

Capo d’Orlando is located in one of the most beautiful areas of Sicily. Starting from here, we recommend five ideas, which you will surely find interesting, on as many places to see that are really not far away.

• Cefalù. Inhabited center famous for its long white sandy beach, Cefalù is a place that also offers many other things to see, such as the cathedral-basilica, the municipal theater and the medieval wash house.
• Nebrodi Park. One of the largest real lungs of Sicily is about an hour and twenty by car from Capo d’Orlando. The Nebrodi Park is an inestimable natural treasure to be discovered by hiking.
• Milazzo. Milazzo could be defined as a city with a double soul, as it manages to combine a breathtaking nature (as evidenced by its beautiful beaches) and an ancient history (represented by places such as the ancient village and the castle).
• Aeolian islands. Ferries to the Aeolian Islands leave every day from Milazzo. The so-called “seven sisters” would all be worth seeing: we suggest you take part in an excursion that stops in more islands.
• Messina. Finally, in one day it is also possible to see the most beautiful places in Messina, admiring, for example, the Catalan Church and the Astronomical Clock.

And to reach all these places, you only have to embark the car on one of the ferries to Sicily with destination Messina.
