History, art, and nature: the three characteristics sum up the east part of the island that ancient Greeks called Trinacria. And it is also the destination you have chosen for your vacation. That is why you are looking for a good seven-day itinerary to visit east Sicily.
The tour that we propose along the eastern Sicily starts in Messina, north, continues towards south, along the coast, and end in the city of Syracuse. We recommend to move by car, motorcycle or camper, that you can take on the ferries to Sicily.
Once in the town on the Straits, you begin to visit it. Following this itinerary with what to see in Messina in one day: this is a journey that will make you discover the main attractions of the city, such as Duomo, fountain of Orione, viale San Martino (a street), chiesa dei Catalani (an ancient church).

You’ll spend the last twenty-four hours of this Eastern Sicily tour still in Syracuse. Admiring the catacombs of San Giovanni, the papyrus museum, the archaeological museum Paolo Orsi, the sanctuary of the Madonna delle Lacrime, the archaeological park of Neapolis, the basilica of Santa Lucia al Sepolcro, San Tommaso al Pantheon church, the Forum.
