Lipari is the main one of the Aeolian islands: the white sandy beaches, the historic center with the castle, the archaeological museum, the Norman cathedral, the Greek amphitheater and the marvelous sea views make this island an ideal destination for all types of holiday. While Alicudi and Filicudi, the twin islands, are suggestive as wild and almost untouched. To complete the Aeolian islands there are then the islands of Salina, Stromboli and Panarea.

How to get. The Aeolian islands are located just off the coast of Milazzo, along the northern coast of the province of Messina. Milazzo is also the port from which ferries depart that take visitors to the archipelago.
