How to get to Pantelleria: all useful information to know

Pantelleria or Favignana as a destination or stage of your next holiday in Sicily? For this time, you have chosen the first island (reserving to visit Favignana later). So now you are wondering: how to get to Pantelleria?

Booking

To get to Pantelleria, you must necessarily, first of all, reach the port of Trapani. It is from here, in fact, that the ferries that will take you to the destination of your next vacation depart. The ferry crossing, on average, takes about two hours and thirty minutes.

To book the ferry trip, all you have to do is using our online booking system, which you can find on the left. Once you have indicated the route, the day of departure and the day of arrival, the number and age of passengers, you only have to fill in all the fields required by the form. The tickets will be sent directly to you via e-mail, saving not only time but also money.

Reaching Trapani

  • By car. Trapani by car is very convenient to reach, as it is served by the motorway A29 (Palermo-Mazara del Vallo).
  • On the train. The station of Trapani connects the city with some of the main inhabitated centers of the island. The station is also very close to the port of embarkation.
  • By bus. A bus service connects Palermo to Trapani. At the central station of Palermo you will find all the information about it.
  • By plane. There is also this possibility to get to Pantelleria but it is one of the least used by all visitors, as the number of flights during the day is rather limited.

Boarding the car

If you are thinking of embarking the car on the ferry, we advise you, in advance, to consult the official site of the town of Pantelleria, Comunepantelleria.it. Depending on the time of year you have chosen for your trip, there may be limitations on bringing a car, motorbike or other vehicle to your island.
