International short film festival 2017

Sicily in September still reserves many surprises and many different ideas for a vacation. How to make this holiday even more unforgettable? Satisfying your great passion for cinema: in Catania, in the Palazzo della cultura, from September 22nd to 24th, will take place the 2017 edition of Corti in cortile – International short film festival.

The project

Corti in cortile, since its first edition in 2009, has always had the same purpose: to be a project that could promote Sicilian cinema. In particular, to promote short film as a form and occasion to give visibility to promote new filmmakers and actors.

The cinema is not just directors, actors and producers, the most “canonical” figures. To make a movie, a good movie, many other professional figures are needed, such as screenwriters, photography directors, editors, phonics, costumers, make-up artists.

Catania

It could be defined as “the city with many souls”: baroque, ancient, medieval, and Greek. Indeed, strolling through its streets and squares will be like discovering different cities: to do that, you just need these six tourist itineraries.

Corti in cortile, as mentioned above, will take place in September. Considering that, in Sicily, there are still pleasant temperatures, you could dive for the last time of the year: among the beaches of Catania and its surroundings, we can mention La Playa and Acitrezza.

How to get there

It’s very easy. Catania is one of the main ports for ferries to Sicily. Every day, there are several departures from the most important ports on the mainland and on the Italian islands. The Palazzo della cultura is easy to reach from the port.
