Levanzo or Marettimo? It depends on the kind of holiday you’d like to live

It is difficult to choose among Aegadian Island. Because they are wonderful. Fortunately, you have selected two islands that you’d like to visit. And now: Marettimo or Levanzo?

1. Beaches and relaxation

These are the “ingredients” of your dreamy holidays: wonderful and non-crowded beaches, nature, the sensation to be far, far away from modernity and stress. If this is what you want, Levanzo is the island for you.

Its beaches are real natural jewels set in the high and rugged coastline. They are often wild places. Not all beaches and coves are easy to reach but, you can be sure, it’s worth it: you will understand once you will be there.

2. Excursions

The sea and beaches are important but they are not everything. Because, in addition to relaxation, you like to discover the chosen destination: the history, the traditions, the culture, the landscapes and the least-known places.

In this case, Marettimo is the destination for you. Here there’s all you can desire: small and picturesque villages, caves, an ancient castle, a Roman archaeological site. If you’ divers, there are several dive sites.

3. In one day

In this case, there’s no difference between the two islands. It depends only on the the kind of excursion that you’d like: as already said, Levanzo is to see “via sea”, taking part in a boat excursions; instead, Marettimo is to see “by foot”.
