May Day long weekend in Sicily: three days, four ideas

Are you thinking about taking a three days holiday in Sicily for the May Day 2015 long weekend? If this is your next destination, below you can find four ideas.

Eastern Sicily

The first advice for your trip for the May Day 2015 long weekend is to explore the eastern Sicily. The “complete” tour would require seven days but you can reduce it to three milestones: Messina, Catania and Siracusa, starting north, from the city of the Straits, and going southbound.

Northwestern Sicily

Even in this case, the places to see are many and would require at least seven days. By adapting this route to three days available, the recommended stops are: Palermo, Segesta and Erice for a journey of art and culture. If you prefer to enjoy the beaches in this part of Sicily, then the places not to miss are: Isola delle Femmini, San Vito lo Capo and Cefalu.

Palermo

Among the four ideas for this three-day trip in Sicily obviously could not be missing the regional capital. You’ll spend the first twenty-four hours following this route to visit Palermo in a day. The second day you’ll see one of the many parks of Palermo, such as Parco delle Madonie. On the last day, if the weather is nice, will be dedicated to the most beautiful beaches of Palermo.

Catania

Catania is a city by the many souls. You will know some of them following this tour about what to see in Catania in a day. The second day you should not miss the opportunity to enjoy an excursion to Mount Etna, the largest active volcano in Europe. And, again, the third day will be all for the most beautiful beaches of Catania.

Have you chose where you want to spend this May Day 2015 long weekend in Sicily? So now you just have one thing to do: book in time your ferry trip.
