Spending summer 2018 in Sicily: here are your plans for the next summer holidays. Holidays that, for you, must always be enriched by good music, played by artists of national and international caliber. We have the suggestion that’s right for you. Actually, we have three tips. Exactly like the most important musical events of the Sicilian summer.
If you like electro and alternative rock music, with emerging bands and big names in the alternative music scene, then the event you must necessarily attend is the Ypsigrock of Castelbuono. The two leading artists would not even need any introduction, since they are two “sacred monsters” like Jesus & Mary Chain and The Horrors. Other guests are Aurora, Girls Names, Shame.
A very special event, the Sundays festival. First of all for the location where it takes place, that is on the shores of Lake Rosamarina, in Caccamo. Secondly, because it offers not only good music: in the two days of the event there will also be yoga and lots of sports, like canoeing, windsurfing and MTB. In short, an event with many faces that is able to satisfy all tastes.
Lots of good music in one of the most beautiful places in Sicily: there is no better way to present the Ortigia sound system, which will be held in Syracuse. James Holden & The Animal Spirits, Omar Souleyman, Flohio, Or: and many others will allow you to experience a very out-of-the-ordinary festival, where alternative music is the master.
Finally, we can still give you further advice, an “extra”, that will suggest yet another idea to spend this holiday in Sicily in the name of music: the concerts scheduled in the summer in the beautiful setting of the Greek theater of Taormina. To make the idea of the level of the event, just say that, among the artists in the program, there are names such as Ermal Meta and Max Gazzè.
