Ottobrata zafferanese: the October Sundays dedicated to Sicilian cuisine

And we have chosen this photo because, during a small autumn holiday in Sicily, you will have the chance to taste all the typical dishes of this splendid land thanks to the 2019 edition of the Ottobrata zafferanese, in Zafferana Etnea on October 6^th, 13^th, 20^th and 27^th.

Taste the Sicilian culinary specialties

There are so many things to eat during a vacation in Sicily. Just for example, we can mention the famous cannoli, pasta con le sarde (pasta with sardines), caponata, polpette di baccalà (cod meatballs) and so on. And don’t forget one of the great prides of this land such as the Sicilian street food.

Well, you can taste everything, absolutely everything, in the stands that will be set up in the square located in Via Rocca d’Api, where some of the best Sicilian producers will make you eat their culinary specialties. And not just food, because there will also be:

• An area dedicated to music and other performances;
• An area dedicated to children.

How to get

Zafferana Etnea is easy to reach starting from Catania, one of the main ports for the ferries to Sicily. Just take the strada provinciale 8ii-iv and follow the road signs: the journey by car (car that you can take on the ferry) takes about one hour.
