Capolavori che si incontrano: exhibition of the great masters of painting in Palermo

Bellini, Lippi, Bassano, Tintoretto, Caravaggio, Tiepolo. Six names that made the history of painting, not just in Italy but worldwide. Important artists that will conquer Palazzo Sant’Elia in Palermo for the first time. And they do it in 2015 with the exhibition “Capolavori che si incontrano”, open until 6th January .

 

From Reinassance to French Revolution

There will be 86 artworks realized by the important artists of Italian painting between the Fifteenth and the Eighteenth century. A unique itinerary that, for the first time in Sicily, will put close and compare artworks different by school, era, origins, style. A real artist meeting to reflect about some of the most important themes that revolve around the painting and the art world.

 

Opening times and admittance

  • The exhibition, inaugurated on 4th October 2015 and promoted by Banca Popoolare di Vicenza and by Sant’Elia foundation, is open from Tuesday do Sunday, from 10 AM to 6 PM.
  • The admittance is totally free. You can book giuded tours on the site of Sant’Elia foundation.
  • Palazzo Sant’Elia is in Maqueda street, in a very central zone of Palermo, not so far from the port and from Borgo Vecchio.
