Maybe you will not find the ideal climatic conditions for a dip into the sea. However, if you are spending a vacation in Sicily in winter, there are 3 beaches that you should definitely see. Because, we can guarantee, they will give you some of the best views of the whole holiday.
- Cefalù. At a short distance from Palermo (to reach Cefalù from Palermo it takes just an hour by car) there is a long stretch of golden sand reaching an old and charming village. After admiring the spectacle of the quiet winter sea that loses itself into the horizon, you can take the opportunity to discover Cefalù, that will leave you enchanted thanks to the Basilica-Cathedral, the megalithic walls and the temple of Diana.
- Scala dei Turchi. It is located in the town of Porto Empedocle, near Agrigento. It can be defined using a very simple adjective: unique. Also the white cliff that the wind and the sea have shaped over the centuries, giving it the shape of a kind of stairway, is unique. On both sides of the cliff there are many small beaches, where you can enjoy pleasant walks.
- Isola Bella. Taormina, along the east coast of Sicily, would not need an introduction. As Isola Bella beach: a small rocky islet connected to the mainland by a narrow isthmus of white sand. Probably, you will visit one of the most photographed places on the island.
One last note. Have you wondered why, among the many (and beautiful) beaches of Sicily we have recommended precisely these three? The answer is clear: Cefalù, Isola Bella and Scala dei Turchi are three of the most beautiful beaches of Sicily.
