Bronte pistachio festival: the great taste of a “modern” tradition

Green gold: if something has earned such a nickname, it means that it’s really precious. Precious as a tradition that, this year too, will be the protagonist of the Bronte pistachio festival: the 2019 edition will take place from September 27^th to 29^th and from October 4^th to 6^th.

Two weekends dedicated to tasting

During the two weekends of the event, all exhibitors involved will be divided into four sections:

• Gastronomia (gastronomy);
• Prodotti al pistachio (pistachio sweets and other dishes);
• Prodotti tipici locali (local producats);
• Artigianato e commercio non alimentare (craft and non-food trade).

Obviously, the “place of honour” will be reserved for pistachio. Prepared in all its sweet and savoury recipes. Renowned national and international chefs will make you taste their dishes. And there will also be several side events. In short: a truly unmissable event.

How to get

Bronte is easy to reach starting from Catania (one of the main ports for the ferries to Sicily). Don’t forget to take a car with you. To get to Bronte, you have to:

• Take the strada statale 121 to Paternò;
• Take the strada statale 284 to Bronte exit.

The journey by car takes about one hour.
