Sciacca: all the taste of the edition of street food fest

In this photo you can see an arancino (or arancina?), one of the most characteristic, famous and exquisite representatives of Sicilian street food. Which, together with panelle, sfincione and the infamous pani câ meusa, will be one of the protagonists of the 2018 edition of the Street food fest of Sciacca, scheduled from 8 to 12 August.

Delicious food

We already said a lot about street food. But not only, because this event will give you the opportunity to taste all the culinary specialties of the island. Specialties that are collected in three thematic sections: “Taverna” (meat dishes), “Vintuliata di marina” (dishes based on fish) and finally “Vucciria” (named after one of the historic markets of Palermo, place for excellence where you can eat street food). In addition to the opportunity to taste these dishes prepared by some of the best Sicilian chefs, there will also be competitions and culinary demonstrations.

Sciacca

There are so many opportunities to visit Sciacca in the summer. First of all, it could be an extra stop of this itinerary to visit southern Sicily: the tour will allow you to experience a holiday between unique beaches in the world, ancient archaeological sites and places where Sicilian traditions are still alive. Otherwise, in Sciacca there are some of the best and most famous thermal baths of Sicily: in other words, here you can spend a few days dedicated solely to complete relaxation.
