The edition of the Sundays festival? A mix of music, sport and nature

Two days entirely dedicated to sport, music and nature. Entirely spent on the shores of one of the most beautiful lakes in Sicily, the Rosamarina. While, a short distance away, there is an impressive castle that has been observing the area for over a thousand years. All this will be the Sundays festival 2018, which will be held in Caccamo on 21 and 22 July.

The festival

During the day, you can enjoy various water sports such as canoeing and windsurfing, or explore the lake with jet skis and pedalos. If, on the other hand, you are a bike enthusiast, there are some paths and itineraries for mountain biking around the lake. Furthermore, there are yoga courses.

In the evening, however, it’s time for music. Sitting on the banks of the lake, you can watch performances by national and international artists, already established or talented young promises from the alternative and underground scene: some of the names in the lineup are Minima Moralia, La Municipal and The Heron Temple.

How to get

Caccamo is located at a short distance from Palermo, one of the main ports where ferries dock for Sicily. To arrive, you only have to:

• Take the E90 and exit at Termini Imerese;
• From Termini Imerese, take the highway 285 and follow the signs for Caccamo.

The journey by car takes just over fifty minutes. You can embark cars on the ferry.

Vacation in Palermo

As we have seen, Caccamo is at a short distance from Palermo. So the Sundays festival 2018 becomes a wonderful idea to give your holiday in the Sicilian capital that extra touch that will make it truly unique. In particular, we recommend three different itineraries:

• The first is one of the most beautiful places to see in Palermo, since you can’t miss places like the Palatine Chapel and the cathedral;
• The second is that of the most beautiful beaches of Palermo, an itinerary that will allow you, among others, to discover Mondello and Addaura;
• Finally, there is also the opportunity to visit the surroundings of Palermo, arriving, for example, in Segesta and the Madonie Park.
