You have decided to spend the summer 2018 in Sicily. And you want to give your holiday that extra touch of culture that will make it truly special. The event you are looking for is the 2018 edition of the Tindari festival, to be held on 10, 11, 18, 21, 23 and 26 August.
The program
- 10 August: Il lago dei cigni;
- 11 August: Carmina Burana;
- 18 August: Il Glauco di Pirandello;
- 21 August: Tyndaris Augustea;
- 23 August: Theatri Memoriae;
- 26 August: La Traviata.
How to get
Have you booked a ferry to Sicily that takes you to Milazzo and embarked a car? Great. Starting from this city, to get to Tindari you only have to:
- Take the E90 towards Palermo;
- Exit at Falcone;
- Take State Road 113 and follow the signs for Tindari.
The journey by car takes around forty minutes.
Three ideas for the holiday
- Milazzo. As already mentioned, Tindari is not far from Milazzo. And there are so many things to see in Milazzo: this city manages to combine an ancient history with the opportunity to enjoy so much relaxation on some beautiful beaches, such as Spiaggia di Ponente and Baia paradiso.
- Aeolian islands. Ferries to the Aeolian Islands leave from Milazzo. The seven sisters would be all to see but if the time available is not enough, we suggest you to take part in one of the many boat tours that take visitors to discover the archipelago, with a stop (and often swim) in the most beautiful places.
- Taormina’s Greek theater. Finally, the summer at the Greek theater of Taormina is also animated by concerts held by national and international artists: Sting and Ermal Meta are some of the most anticipated guests.
